Use a flat-bladed tool to remove the front crankshaft oil seal from the engine front cover. Discard the old front crankshaft oil seal.
Installation
1.
Use the front crankshaft seal installer, J 35268-A to install the new crankshaft front oil seal, P/N 12584041, to the engine front cover.
2.
Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement in the appropriate Service Manual or SI.
