Clutch Switch: Service and Repair

CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH

REMOVAL

1. Ignition Off.
2. Remove left side lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) push pin fasteners and remove panel.
3. Remove left side lower heater duct assembly push pin fastener and remove duct.

4. Disconnect cruise clutch switch harness connector.
5. Remove cruise clutch switch by pulling red collar (located between switch housing and plunger) toward the front of the vehicle. The collar must be

out past the locking tabs or the switch will not release from the bracket.

NOTE:  The collar should NOT be entirely removed.

6. Depress locking tabs on each side of cruise clutch switch and remove switch.

INSTALLATION

1. Slide out red locking collar as far out as possible and install cruise clutch switch into bracket. Slide red locking collar into locking position.
2. Connect cruise clutch switch harness connector. Push in connector until a click is heard and pull back to confirm a positive engagement.
3. Install left side lower heater duct and push pin fastener.
4. Install left side lower I/P closeout panel (hush panel) and push pin fasteners.
