L300 V6-3.0L VIN R (2001)
5. Remove drum/rotor retaining screw.
6. Remove drum/rotor.
7. Remove hub-to-rear axle control arm attachment nuts. Discard nuts.
8. Remove hub/bearing assembly.
INSTALLATION
NOTICE: New nuts must be used as torque retention of old nuts may not be sufficient.
1. Install hub and brake shield to rear axle control arm with new nuts.
Torque: Rear Hub Assembly-to-Knuckle Nuts: 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) + 30 to 45°
2. Install brake rotor/drum and tighten retaining screw.
Torque: Brake Drum Retaining Fastener: 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.)
3. On vehicles equipped with rear disc brakes, perform the following steps:
NOTICE: Clean caliper support bracket fasteners thoroughly with brake and choke cleaner (P/N 21007432 or equivalent). Apply Loctite 272
Threadlocker (or equivalent) to caliper support bracket fasteners. If Loctite 272 Threadlocker (or equivalent) is not available, new caliper support
bracket fasteners must be used.
