7. Remove camshaft gear and discard camshaft gear bolts.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Install alignment pin in the correct numbered, alignment slot on camshaft gear.
1. Install camshaft gear.
IMPORTANT: Use a new camshaft gear bolt. The required tightening method will stretch the bolts to its yield point, therefore, the bolt is not
reusable.
2. Install camshaft year bolt.

Use timing belt alignment kit J42069-1 and J42069-2 to hold camshaft gear and camshaft in place while tightening camshaft gear bolt.

Use Torque Angle Gauge SA9140E to tighten camshaft gear bolt.
Torque:
Camshaft Gear Bolt: 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.) + 60° + 15 degrees
3. Turn crankshaft clockwise back to TDC.
