L300 V6-3.0L VIN R (2001)
1. Install oil filter housing to engine block. Tighten oil filter housing at sleeve.
Torque: Oil Filter Cartridge Housing-to Engine: 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs.)
IMPORTANT: Ensure the tabs on the oil filter cartridge lock firmly into the oil filter cap. An audible snap will be heard when the oil filter cartridge
is completely seated.
2. Install new oil filter cartridge into oil filter cap.
3. Lightly coat the O-ring around oil filter cap with clean oil.
IMPORTANT: Use a box end wrench, six point socket, or cap-type, wrench to prevent damage during removal.
4. Install oil filter cap onto oil filter cartridge housing.
Torque:
Oil Filter Cap: 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Start engine, let idle for 30 seconds. Then shut engine off. Fill to proper oil level and check for leaks.
