Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Turn ignition Off.
2. Disconnect J1 and J2 ECM electrical connectors.
3. Remove ECM bolts.
4. Remove ECM.

INSTALLATION  

1. Install ECM.
2. Install ECM bolts.

Torque:
Engine Control Module Bolts: 8 N.m (71 in-lbs)

3. Connect J1 and J2 ECM electrical connectors.
4. Program ECM by following directions.  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning 
5. Learn Passlock password by following directions.  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning
6. Turn Ignition On, Engine Off for 1 minute to learn throttle position.
