7. Remove C-pillar trim on both the left and right side of the vehicle (2000 shown, 2001 similar).

Remove rear seat shoulder belt cover to expose shoulder belt fastener.

Remove shoulder belt fastener and shoulder belt.

Fold down rear seat back.

7.4

Route shoulder belt out of C-pillar trim access slot.

7.5

Remove C-pillar trim assembly by pulling gently at C-pillar clip locations.

8. Disconnect left and right curtain inflator module (YEL 2-way) connectors.

Disabling the Frontal Inflators

1. Turn the steering wheel so that the vehicle's wheels are pointing straight ahead.
2. Turn ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove key.
3. Remove IGN1 fuse from under hood fuse block.

Disabling the Frontal Inflators
4. Remove lower left I/P closeout panel.
5. Push out clips that secure the driver and passenger inflator module (YEL 2-way) connectors to I/P panel brace.
6. Disconnect both (YEL 2-way) connectors.
