Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Assembly

WHEEL BEARING/HUB ASSEMBLY

TOOLS REQUIRED

J44015 Steering Linkage Installer

-

J44563 Front Wheel Bearing Remover/Installer

-

SA9140E Torque-to-Angle Gauge

1. Press in new bearing as shown in illustration until seated using Front Wheel Bearing Remover/Installer J44563 (or equivalent).

5 - Knuckle support tube
7 - Large driver

2. Install bearing retainer snap ring.

IMPORTANT:  When performing this operation, small driver (part number 6) must be used to support bearing inner race with its small (pilot) side
facing towards press, away from bearing.
