Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1.  Remove the C-pillar moldings. Refer to C-Pillar Trim Removal.
2. Lower the rear seat back assemblies
3. Remove the rear shelf panel push pins using a door trim tool.

Important:  Center retainer can be disengaged by inserting a flat-blade tool in side of the structure box surrounding the retainer.

4. Remove the rear shelf panel from the vehicle by pushing on the (5) rear shelf panel retainers in the trunk area.
5. Remove the rear shelf panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. If the rear shelf panel is being replaced, transfer the rear seat back latch insulators to the new shelf panel.
2. Position the rear shelf panel to the vehicle making sure that the rear seat back insulators are properly installed over the seat back latch brackets.
3. Push at the rear portion of the shelf panel to engage the rear retainers.
4. Install the remaining push pin fasteners.
5. Install the C-pillar moldings. Refer to the C-Pillar Trim Installation procedure in this section of the service manual.
6. Raise the rear seat back assemblies.
