9. Remove camshaft cover seals.
IMPORTANT: Ensure all eight sealing O-rings are accounted for. The O-rings may stick to the camshaft bearing caps or they may fall into the oil
pan.
10. Clean camshaft cover.
11. Clean all sealing surfaces.
INSTALLATION
1. Lightly coat new seals, including O-rings, with engine oil prior to installation to assist in holding O-ring seals to valve cover.
2. Install camshaft cover seals.
3. Apply a thin coat of Loctite (R)49 5900 or equivalent at front and back of camshaft cover as shown in the figure as the shaded areas.
