1. Remove the tape backing from the new part and affix the energy absorber to the door structure.
2. Install the energy absorber fastener to the door structure.
3. Install the front door insulator.
4. Install the front door outer panel. Refer to Front

Door Outer Panel installation procedure .

Door Trim Panel Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Remove inner door handle.

2. Remove lower door trim panel fasteners.
3. On manual window vehicles, remove window crank handle.
4. Using a door pad removal tool, disengage door trim side retainers.
5. Lift upward on door trim panel to disengage the panel from the door structure at the top end of the panel.
6. On vehicles with illuminated door trim pad, while holding the door panel away from the door structure, disconnect the wiring harness.
7. While holding the door panel away from the door structure, disconnect the door illumination light wiring harness.
8. Remove door trim panel.
