Install camshaft covers. Refer to "Camshaft Cover Replacement - Front/Rear" in the appropriate Service Manual. (For 2004 Saturn L-Series
vehicles, refer to SI Document ID # 1052946, 1052971.)
8.
Remove debris screen J45482 from intake spacer plate.
9.
Install intake manifold. Refer to "Intake Manifold
Replacement" in the appropriate Service Manual.

Document ID # 1227105.)
10.
Install air cleaner assembly. Refer to "Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement" in the appropriate Service Manual. (For 2004 Saturn L-Series vehicles,
refer to SI Document ID # 1226088.)
11.
Connect negative battery cable.
Important:
Clean any existing oxidation from the contact face of the battery terminal and battery cable using a wire brush before installing the battery cable to
the battery terminal.
11.1. Connect the negative battery cable to the battery.
Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 17 Nm (13 ft-lb).
11.2. Reset the radio stations and the clock.
12.
Verify that blue smoke condition has been resolved. Start vehicle and verify that there is no blue smoke coming from exhaust.
