Installation Procedure

1. Install the cowl side trim panel to the vehicle by aligning the trim panel with the slots in the cowl.
2. Install the cowl side trim panel retainers by pushing in on the panel to secure.
3. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door)  (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair)Door Sill Plate Replacement (

Sliding Door)  (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair) .

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear  (See: Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Seat Replacement - Rear) in

Seats.

2. Remove the rear quarter trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter (Right)  (See: )Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter (Left)

 (See: ) .

3. Remove the body pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar  (See: ) .
4. Remove the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door)  (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair)Door Sill Plate Replacement (

Sliding Door)  (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair) .

5. Remove the body side front trim panel retainers using the J 38778  .
6. Remove the body side front trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the body side front trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Install the body side front trim panel retainers by aligning the retainers to the holes and pushing in on the retainers to secure them.
3. Install the front door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement (Door)  (See: Scuff Plate/Service and Repair)Door Sill Plate Replacement (
