Weatherstrip Replacement - Auxiliary

Removal Procedure

1. Fully open the sliding rear door.

2. Use a heat gun in order to heat the sliding door auxiliary weatherstrip (2). Keep the heat gun 150 mm (6 in) from the surface. Use a circular motion

while applying heat for about 30 seconds.

3. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to peel the sliding door auxiliary weatherstrip from the panel surface. DO NOT damage the paint.
4. Use oil-free naphtha or alcohol in order to clean the body panel.

Installation Procedure

1. Use a heat lamp or heat gun in order to warm the body panel to a minimum of 21°C (70°F).
2. Peel the backing from the front end of the sliding door auxiliary weather strip. DO NOT touch the adhesive backing.
