Fascia Replacement - Rear Bumper

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Open the liftgate.
2. Remove the liftgate sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement - Liftgate  (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair) in

Interior Trim.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection (1) for the rear object sensor harness.
4. Use the J 38778  in order to remove the push-in retainers (3) from the upper and lower rear bumper fascia.
5. Remove the screws (5) at the right and left wheel well from the rear bumper fascia.
6. Remove the palnut from the rear bumper fascia outer retainer.
7. Remove the rear bumper fascia (2) from the vehicle.
8. Remove the rear park assist sensors. Refer to Rear Object Sensor Replacement   in Rear Parking Assist.
9. Transfer the rear object sensors to the new rear bumper fascia. 

Installation Procedure

1. Install the rear park assist sensor to the rear bumper fascia. Refer toRear Object Sensor Replacement   in Rear Park Assist.
