THROTTLE BODY UNIT REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery terminal.
2. Remove air intake tube and fresh air hose.
3. Disconnect electrical connectors at idle air control (IAC) valve and throttle position (TP) sensor.
4. Disconnect vacuum harness.
5. Disconnect the throttle control cable.
6. Remove throttle body retaining bolts.
7. Remove throttle body assembly.
NOTE: Cover the intake manifold opening with a shop towel whenever the throttle body is removed to prevent foreign material entry.
8. Block the intake manifold opening with a clean shop towel to prevent dirt from entering.
9. Remove flange gasket and discard.
10. Remove any old gasket material from the intake manifold.

THROTTLE POSITION (TP) SENSOR REMOVAL
NOTE: The throttle position (TP) sensor is an electrical component, and must not be soaked in any liquid solvent or damage may result.
1. Remove throttle position (TP) sensor attachment screws and throttle position (TP) sensor.
Idle Air Control Valve Replacement
