Folding Top Number 4 Bow Replacement
Removal Procedure
Important: The folding top will be required to be supported.
1. Remove the front folding top cover retainer (1). Refer to Folding Top Cover Number 1 Bow Retainer Replacement (See: Service and
Repair/Folding Top Cover Number 1 Bow Retainer Replacement) .
2. Remove the left and right side front weatherstrips. Refer to Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Replacement (See: Convertible Top
Weatherstrip/Service and Repair/Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Replacement) .
3. Remove the left and right side front weatherstrip retainers. Refer to Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement (See: Convertible
Top Weatherstrip/Service and Repair/Folding Top Side Front Weatherstrip Retainer Replacement) .
Important: The folding top cover retainer flap is glued to the front side rail.
4. Fold back the front and the side edges of the folding top cover by releasing the retaining strip to expose the number 4 bow.
5. Drill out the rivets and P-clips from the retainer straps and cable.
6. Reposition the retainer straps and cable from the number 4 bow (4).
7. Remove the extrusion from the number 4 bow.
8. Mark the position of the number 4 bow to the lower links.
9. Remove the screws (3) from the number 4 bow.
10. Remove the number 4 bow from the folding top.
