Backup Lamp Switch: Service and Repair

Backup Lamp Switch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the front floor closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Replacement - Front (Automatic Transmission)  (See: Body and

3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the backup lamp switch (5).

4. Open the tie strap securing the pigtail to the transmission.
5. Remove the backup lamp switch with the aluminum washer.
