7. Depress the shift control linkage adjustment locking tab (1) to lock the adjustment.
8. Slide the shift control linkage adjustment lock cover (1) over the locking tab.

10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Inspect the operation of the starting system with the shift lever in each position. The engine should only crank when the lever is in the PARK or
NEUTRAL position.
