A convertible top cable spring (refer to arrow in illustration above for spring location) may have been over-stretched.

Correction

1.

Partially remove the "B" pillar weatherstrip by removing the top screw and then pulling the weatherstrip out of the run channel down to the base of
the pillar.

2.

Remove the "B" pillar run channel.
