6. After installing the top, cycle the convertible top assembly to verify that there is no contact between the wear clip and the 1-2 bow. If contact is
made, proceed to Step 7. If not, proceed to Step 8.
7. If the wear clip comes in contact with the 1-2 bow, remove it and then measure and cut 5 mm (1/4 in) off the end and reinstall.
8. Apply GM weatherstrip lubricant or dielectric silicone grease to the area shown in the illustrations above.
