NOTE:
After removing the console make sure to follow the correct adjustment procedures in this bulletin.

If complaint is noise (rattle), inspect park brake adjuster nut for presence of spring:
a.
If spring is not present, remove adjuster nut and install new adjuster nut and spring (P/N 21011611).
b.
If spring is present, remove adjuster nut and spring and measure free standing height of spring. If spring height is less than 18 mm (0.71 in.),
install a new equalizer nut and spring (P/N 21011611) then proceed to Step 3. If spring height is equal to, or greater than 18 mm (0.71 in.),
install adjuster nut and spring and proceed to Step 3.
