Fig. 36 Belt Tensioner Arm

Removal

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Using 14 mm or 9/16 inch wrench, depress tensioner arm, Fig. 36.

3.

Remove belt from A/C compressor and idler pulley, then remove belt.

Installation

1.

Route belt over all pulleys, except front cover idler or A/C compressor.

2.

Using 14 mm or 9/16 inch wrench, depress tensioner arm, Fig. 36.

3.

Install belt to idler pulley and A/C compressor.

4.

Tighten idler pulley to specifications.
