MODELS AFFECTED:
All 1992 Saturns with supplemental inflatable restraints (SIR)
PURPOSE:
Installation instructions for the valet switch and LED on the lower steering column shroud on vehicles equipped with supplemental inflatable restraints.
PROCEDURE:
CAUTION: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT (SIR), REFER TO CAUTIONS IN THE
"SUPPLEMENTAL INFLATABLE RESTRAINT (SIR) SERVICE MANUAL" UNDER "ON-VEHICLE SERVICE" (AVAILABLE FOR THE 92-1/2
MODEL YEAR) AND THE SIR COMPONENT AND WIRING LOCATION VIEW BEFORE PERFORMING SERVICE ON OR AROUND SIR
COMPONENTS OR WIRING. FAILURE TO FOLLOW CAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN POSSIBLE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, PERSONAL
INJURY, OR OTHERWISE UNNEEDED SIR SYSTEM REPAIRS.
The following revisions to the Retailer Installed Security System Instructions are required for Saturn vehicles equipped with supplemental inflatable
restraints (SIR).
