Speedometer Module: Testing and Inspection
SPEEDOMETER
Follow diagnostics on the following pages.
If the speedometer is completely inoperative the internal power supply of the cluster can be checked.

Key in the RUN position, engine Off and all of the cluster connectors connected.

Measure the voltage between pins J to K of the black 18-way cluster connector. Voltage should be greater than or equal to 7.0 volts.

If voltage Ok, proceed with charts on following pages.

If the voltage is less than 7.0 volts, refer to the "Instrument Cluster Internal Resistance Checks" to determine which cluster component to
replace.
