Rigid Plastic Refinishing-GTX and PULSE
1.
Same procedures as used for sheetmetal.
2.
Flex additives are not required when using urethane paint systems.
3.
Avoid lacquer finishes and aggressive solvents and pre-cleaners.
B.
Flexible Plastic Refinishing-TPO
1.
A Polyoflin adhesion promoter such as 3M 05907 or equivalent is required over all unpainted surfaces.
2.
Flexible additives are required in primer surfacer and clearcoat.
C.
Structure Painting and Touch-Up
1.
Structural components are painted black with 50% gloss. PPG DP90 or equivalent is recommended.
2.
Door openings are finished with a 50% gloss top coat finish.
