Front Seatback Cushion Cover - Cut/Damaged

SUBJECT: 
Front Seatback Cushion and/or Cover Cut from Seatback Frame 
(Install Front Seatback Pad Fastening Strip)

MODELS AFFECTED: 
1991-1993 Sedans, Coupes and Wagons up to and including VIN PZ138321

CONDITION: 
Driver or passenger outer edge of seatback cushion and/or cover has been cut from outer edge of seatback frame.

CAUSE: 
The edge of the seatback frame cuts through seatback cushion and cover over a period of time.

CORRECTION: 
Perform the following procedure to remove front seatback cushion and install front seatback pad fastening strip.

PROCEDURE:

1.

Move entire seat assembly to full-forward position.

2.

Raise headrest to full-up position.

3.

Insert a blunt object into the slot in the headrest bushing, push on the release tab and remove the headrest.
