Red/White 14 gage wire.

FUNCTION: 

This circuit supplies battery power to the I/P junction block.

REPAIRS:

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the Symptom Chart.

Circuit 740B

LOCATION: 

Connects I/P junction block cavity E8 to the cigar lighter connector cavity A.

TYPE: 

Orange 18 gage wire.

FUNCTION: 

This circuit supplies battery voltage to the cigar lighter.

REPAIRS:

Check for OPENS/SHORTS.

Repair as needed.

If this component is good go to the next item indicated on the Symptom Chart.

Troubleshooting Hints

FOREIGN OBJECTS

Check lighter and socket for foil gum wrappers, change, etc.

CIGAR LIGHTER

Try a known good lighter to determine if the original lighter is good or bad.

Examine lighter socket for damaged caused by insertion of other plugs or objects.
