Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension Strut
1.
On Coupe models, remove rear seat bottom cushion, then right and left interior rocker panel moulding.
2.
On Coupe models, remove left and right interior rear sail panel.
3.
On Sedan models, remove left or right interior C-pillar moulding.
4.
On all models, fold down rear seats, then remove rear set bolsters.
5.
On Coupe models, remove cargo area package shelf attaching screws and carpet.
6.
On all models, remove speaker grilles and seat belt bezel, then separate belts from shelf.
7.
Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel assembly.
8.
Loosen but do not remove steering knuckle to strut attaching nuts.
9.
Using suitable floor jack, support knuckle, then remove upper strut attaching nuts.
10.
On models equipped with ABS, disconnect ABS electrical harness from strut.
11.
On all models, remove strut to knuckle nuts, then remove strut.
12.
Reverse procedure to install.
