Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
On DOHC models, remove intake air ducts and temperature sensor connector.
3.
On all models, remove wiring harness from cooling fan motor.
4.
Loosen and remove top hold-down bolts from cooling fan assembly.
5.
On models with automatic transaxles and A/C, it may be necessary to loosen the top transaxle oil cooler line for clearance.
6.
On all models, lift cooling fan off of lower mounting brackets. Move assembly to left and rotate counterclockwise while lifting upward past upper
radiator hose.
7.
Remove cooling fan assembly from vehicle.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
