Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle.
3.
Remove exhaust pipe to manifold attaching nuts, then lower pipe and discard gasket.
4.
Lower vehicle.
5.
Remove A/C compressor and rear compressor bracket.
6.
Disconnect oxygen sensor electrical connector, then remove sensor.
7.
Remove exhaust manifold attaching nuts, then remove manifold and discard gasket.
8.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten exhaust manifold attaching nuts to specification in sequence, Fig. 8.
