Front Door Interior Handle: Service and Repair

INSIDE DOOR HANDLE

REMOVAL

1. Remove screw from center of inside door handle assembly.
2. Slide door handle assembly forward while pulling outward from the trim panel.
3. Using a thin screwdriver, disengage rods from retainers.
4. If equipped with power door locks, remove power door lock switch by releasing retaining tabs and disconnect the connector from the switch

assembly.

INSTALLATION

1. Install power door lock switch (if equipped) and install wiring connector.
2. Position door handle assembly into trim panel, tip handle outward at top.
3. Lift rods into retainers and latch retainer clamps.
4. Push handle into trim panel and slide rearward to engage tangs.
5. Install screw in handle. Tighten screw.

Torque:  2.5 Nm (22 in-lbs)
