Rear Door Interior Handle: Service and Repair

INSIDE REAR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY 

REMOVAL

1. Remove screw from center of inside door handle assembly.
2. Slide door handle assembly forward while pulling outward from the trim panel.
3. If equipped with power door locks, remove power door lock switch by releasing retaining tabs, then disconnect the connector from switch

assembly.

4. Using a thin screwdriver, disengage lock, latch rods and actuator rod from retainers at door handle (if equipped with power door locks).

INSTALLATION

1. Position door handle assembly into trim panel, tip handle outward at top.
2. Lift latch and lock rods and actuator rod (if equipped), into retainers and latch retainer clamps.
3. Push handle into trim panel and slide rearward to engage tangs.
4. Install power door lock switch (if equipped) and install wiring connector.
5. Install screw in handle. Tighten screw. 

Torque:  2.5 Nm (22 in-lbs)
