1.
Remove rear compartment lid outer lower panel. (Refer to "Compartment Lid Outer Panel" procedure for Sedan or "Rear Compartment Lid Outer
Panel" procedure for Coupe, in the "Rear End" section of the "1997 Body/Repair Service Manual.")
2.
Remove rear compartment lid lock cylinder retainer from rear compartment lock cylinder.
3.
Disconnect rear compartment lock cylinder rod from clip on rear compartment lock cylinder.
4.
Remove rear compartment lock cylinder.
5.
To disassembly rear compartment lock cylinder, refer to "Liftgate and Rear Compartment Lock Cylinder Disassembly" in the "Lock Cylinder
Disassembly Procedures" included in this bulletin.
Ignition Lock Cylinder - All Vehicles
1.
Remove steering column lower trim cover bolts.
2.
Remove upper steering column shroud.
3.
Insert ignition key into ignition lock cylinder and rotate ignition key to ACC position.
