1.

Connect front side door lock cylinder rod to front side door lock cylinder.

2.

Install front side door lock cylinder to door and install front side door lock cylinder retainer.

3.

Install, partially removed door sound deadener panel at rear of door.

4.

Verify that front side door lock cylinder operates correctly.

5.

Repeat steps 1 through 4 for remaining front side door lock cylinder.

6.

Install front door outer panel. (Refer to "Front Door Outer Panel - Sedan/Wagon," or Front Door Outer Panel - Coupe" in the "Doors" section of
the "1997 Body/Repair Service Manual.")

Liftgate Lock Cylinder Installation - Wagon

1.

Install liftgate lock cylinder into into liftgate.

2.

Install liftgate lock cylinder reinforcement and install liftgate lock cylinder retainer.

3.

Connect liftgate lock actuator cable assembly to liftgate lock cylinder.

4.

Verify that liftgate lock cylinder operates correctly.

5.

Install liftgate lower molding assembly. (Refer to "Liftgate Inner Lower Panel Assembly - Wagon" in the "Vehicle Interior Systems" section of the
"1997 Body/Repair Service Manual.")
