SIR Coil Assembly: Service and Repair
Installation
INSTALLATION
NOTICE: A new SIR coil assembly is equipped with a yellow tab that is removed after the steering wheel is installed. This tab passes through the
steering wheel at the pass through hole.
1. Route long pigtail of SIR coil assembly and horn/cruise in-line connector behind lever combination switch and down the steering column.
2. Install SIR coil assembly to lever combination switch.
3. Install lower steering column shroud. Install ignition lock cylinder. Install upper steering column shroud.
4. Install steering wheel.
5. Connect horn/cruise in-line connector.
6. Enable the SIR system. (Refer to "Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.")
