Second design strut assemblies require a second design dust boot assembly. The second design dust boot will back service vehicles originally equipped
with the first design dust boot. However, when installing a second design strut assembly on a vehicle originally equipped with a first design strut
assembly, the second design dust boot must also be installed. All vehicles built after and including VIN XZ136281 were built with the second design
dust boot assembly. A visual comparison between the first and second design strut assembly dust boot will not reveal any significant differences. The
second design strut assembly dust boot has four shortened retainer notches that are at the bottom of the dust boot assembly.
