Control Module: Service and Repair
Transmission Control Module (TCM) Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect J1 and J2 transmission control module (TCM) electrical connectors.
3. Pull the retaining tang from the TCM and rotate the TCM up.
4. Remove the TCM from the TCM bracket.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the TCM.
2. Connect J1 and J2 TCM electrical connectors.
3. Important: DTC P0602 sets with all service TCMs. When the TCM is reprogrammed with the correct software and calibrations, DTC P0602 will
be erased.
Program the TCM with the correct calibration. See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning
