Purpose
The purpose of this bulletin is to communicate a correction to the amount of transmission fluid to add to the transmission during fluid replacement. In the
Transmission Fluid Replacement section (page 7-385, step 10) of the 2004 Saturn VUE Transmission Service Manual it states to add approximately 2.7
Liters (2.9 Qts) of Saturn ATF-Z1 fluid (P/N 22717466) through the transmission fill plug, which is incorrect. Please update that information with the
following correct information:
Add 3.9 Liters (4.1 Qts) for AWD and 4.3 Liters (4.5 Qts) for FWD vehicles of Saturn ATF-Z1 fluid (P/N 22717466) through the transmission fill plug.
Please obtain these Service Manuals and update the Transmission Fluid Replacement Procedure with the information in this bulletin.
