Canister Vent Valve: Service and Repair
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER VENT SOLENOID VALVE REPLACEMENT
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
CAUTION: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the
vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed.
IMPORTANT: The EVAP vent solenoid is located on the top of the EVAP canister.
2. Remove the EVAP canister bolts.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the evaporative emission EVAP canister vent solenoid valve.
4. Disconnect the EVAP canister lines.
5. Remove the EVAP canister from the vehicle.
