Shock Absorber Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation  (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the rear wheelhouse from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear

Fender/Rear Fender Liner/Service and Repair) .

4. Remove the lower shock bolt and nut.

5. Remove the upper shock bolt.
6. Remove the shock from the vehicle.
