Front Brake Hose Replacement

Front Brake Hose Replacement

Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution.

Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice.

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly.
3. Release the wheel speed sensor wire harness retainers and harness from the front brake hose.

4. Clean all dirt and foreign material from the brake hose ends and the brake pipe fitting.
5. Using a backup wrench on the hose fitting, disconnect the brake pipe fitting from the brake hose. Cap or plug the brake pipe fitting end and the

brake hose end to prevent fluid loss and contamination.

6. Release the retaining clip from the brake hose mounting bracket and the brake hose.
