Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement  (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Tune-up and Engine

Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose/Service and Repair/Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement) .

2. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector (1).
3. Remove the spark plug wire clip from the intake manifold bracket.

4. Remove the upper intake manifold bolts.
5. Remove the MAP sensor and bracket.
6. Remove the MAP sensor seal from the upper intake manifold.
