Saturn Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

1. Position the support assembly to the vehicle.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the support to body bolts.

Tighten the support to body bolts to 170 N.m (125 lb ft).

3. Install the adjustable link on the support assembly. Refer to Adjust Link Replacement  (See: Steering/Tie Rod/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension

) .

4. Connect the upper control arm to the support assembly. Refer to Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement  (See: Control Arm/Service and

Repair/Rear Suspension/Rear Axle Upper Control Arm Replacement) .

5. Install the lower control arm to the support assembly. Refer to Rear Axle Lower Control Arm Replacement  (See: Control Arm/Service and

Repair/Rear Suspension/Rear Axle Lower Control Arm Replacement) .

6. Install the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Replacement  (See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear Suspension) .
7. Install the stabilizer shaft links to the support. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement  (See: Stabilizer Bar/Stabilizer Link/Service and

Repair/Rear Suspension)
.

8. If equipped with all wheel drive, install the rear drive axle. Refer to Differential Replacement  () .

9. Install the exhaust muffler and resonator assembly. Refer to Muffler Replacement (LAT-2.4L, LE5 2.4L)  (See: Engine, Cooling and

10. Install the tires and wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation  (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Check the rear alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement  (See: Alignment/Service and Repair/Wheel Alignment Measurement) .
