Installation Procedure

Important:

Do not damage the brake lines.

Ensure that the clutch line locks securely in place.

1. Install the hydraulic clutch hose/pipe to the vehicle.
2. Install the hydraulic clutch pipe retaining clip to the clutch master cylinder.
3. Connect the hydraulic clutch pipe to the clutch master cylinder.
4. Remove the shop towel and discard into a suitable container.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

5. Remove the nut retaining the hydraulic clutch pipe to the inner fender.

Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the left transaxle mount bolt retaining the hydraulic clutch pipe.

Tighten the bolt to 37 N.m (27 lb ft).

7. On ABS models, install the EBTCM bracket fasteners.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

8. Install the hydraulic clutch hose retaining clip to the clutch slave cylinder.
