Shift Cable: Adjustments

Shift Cable Adjustment

1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Shift the transmission to neutral.
3. Remove the front floor console accessory trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Accessory Trim Plate Replacement  (See: Body and

Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair) .

4. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.

5. Push the shifter neutral lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.

Important:  Ensure that the transmission is in NEUTRAL.
