Brake Pedal Assy: Adjustments
BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY
ADJUSTMENT
1. CHECK AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL HEIGHT
a. Check brake pedal height.
Pedal height from asphalt sheet:
M/T: 146.1 to 156.1 mm (5.752 to 6.146 inch)
A/T: 146.9 to 156.9 mm (5.784 to 6.177 inch)
b. Adjust brake pedal height.
1. Disconnect the connector from the stop lamp switch assembly.
2. Remove the stop lamp switch assembly.
3. Loosen the clevis lock nut.
4. Adjust the pedal height by turning the push rod.
5. Tighten the clevis lock nut.
Torque: 26 Nm (265 kgf-cm, 19 ft. lbs.)
6. Insert the stop lamp switch assembly into the adjuster until it slightly touches the pedal sub-assembly.
NOTICE: Do not depress the brake pedal.
7. Make a quarter turn clockwise to install the stop lamp switch assembly.
