Keep pushing the rear seat towards the outside of the vehicle (red arrows in the illustration shows the proper direction). Re-tighten the bolts as
shown.

Torque: 37 N.m (377 kgf.cm, 27 ft-lbf)

Reassemble in reverse order.

Rattle Noise From Back Door Area

Open the back door.

Remove the deck trim rear cover. For additional information refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) 2004 Scion xB Repair Manual:

Loosen the striker mounting screws slightly.
