Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Service and Repair
Removal

BRAKE CONTROL: BRAKE ACTUATOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

NOTICE:  Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.

3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM COVER See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

4. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

12. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

NOTICE:  Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

(b) Using a union nut wrench, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.
