Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal

AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR (for 2AZ-FE): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM See: Service and Repair
2. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
4. REMOVE FAN & GENERATOR V BELT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive

Belt/Service and Repair/Removal

5. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose from the compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose.

NOTICE:  Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

6. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose from the compressor.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose.

NOTICE:  Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 nuts.
